Guarding Against Spiritual Pride
This is what it looks like to guard against spiritual pride in our walk with God.
Christians aren’t immune to getting a big head; in fact, sometimes Christians are the worst perpetrators. You can study, serve, search, and s---, but you can’t save your fellow man. You’re not Jesus – you can’t save your friends or loved one’s souls no matter how much you wish you could—you can only point the way to Him and let Him do His work. Or maybe your problem is the opposite. Maybe you’ve felt it was your place to judge others all the while looking past your own shortcomings. With the Holy Spirit on guard in our hearts, He will point out with pinpoint accuracy the areas in which we are getting a big head; where we have stopped humbling ourselves before the Mighty Hand of God (1 Peter 5:6). All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23). And don’t be a know it all!
Always improve the present moment.
